It’s not just a 3 day Pop Up Shop, it’s the next frontier in urban socials with shopping, workshops and happy hour bringing everyone to-gather in style.  Expect to find 25 amazing local designers, creative workshops, a flash lounge and an in motion art installation of popsicles and neon bikes, otherwise known as the PopCycle tour We would love to see you over the three fantastic days ahead.  You can find us in the former Boneta space at 1 East Cordova/Carrall in Gastown. Click here for location and hours.

So who came up with this idea anyway?

Gather is the brain/love child of Ally Day and Cariann Nesler (Co-Founder of and it’s this summer’s hottest social shopping event. Both girls wanted an event where they could find everything from food to fashion, pottery to popsicles, workshops to wine – you name it,  so they decided to do it themselves. Thus Gather was born! Oh and did we mention, it’s brought to you by the makers of Cargoh (the online curated marketplace for independent artists that originated in Gastown, talk about bringing it home!). This is one happening event not to be missed!

Ally got her start in the event producing world when she lived in Los Angeles and worked with Miramax from there she  was hooked. She spent 5 years in the magazine publishing world before returning to events with the One of a Kind show in Vancouver. She is over the moon to be working with Cariann and can not wait for this summer’s first annual GATHER! Oh and she’s lost without peanut butter, probably wears a baseball hat too often and can’t get enough of her 2 favourite mini people, Elliot and Tatum.

Cariann headed for the coast to study Interior Design at the Design Institute of San Diego. After school, she left the land of golden skin and great Mexican Food, to work in film industry  in Vancouver, BC. After falling in love with a young South African boy, she put her design  talents to good use designing high end luxury homes before launching Cargoh. When she is    not connecting with our amazing community, she can be found at her sewing machine making just about anything, or on a patio sipping on a nice cold one.

Giving Back to the Community:

Gather is proud to support  A Loving Spoonful, the volunteer-driven, organization providing free, nutritious meals to people living with HIV/AIDS in Greater Vancouver.
