Fleet ObjectsFleet Objects is the Vancouver based design studio of Zoe Garred. Working primarily with natural materials, Zoe's passion lies in creating objects that are useful but abstract in form and application. By leaving the function of her pieces open to interpretation she invites the user to define the object's significance. Zoe has exhibited all over the world including at the Designboom mart in ICFF NYC and 100% Design Tokyo, Designboom's “Handled with Care” in London. She holds degrees in industrial design from Emily Carr University and in painting from the University of Calgary.
Flight PathI am originally trained as a conceptual textiles artist and by some twist of fate became a leather worker! I attended the Fibre Program at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Distinction in 2006. Inspired by a love of bold patterns, design and traveling, Flight Path was created in 2007 as a way to merge these three passions. My work utilizes a combination of found imagery from my travels, vintage prints and leather to create a line of belts, handbags and adornment for the body.
